FAQs

Q: How long does each Caricature take and what size are they?

A: Just a few minutes. I work at A4 size using a black crayon which enables me to produce a lively image.

Q: How many do you do in an hour?

A: Between 10 – 12 per hour.

Q: Do the guests get to keep them?

A: Of course.

Q: Won’t the Caricatures get damaged during the course of the day?

A: No, I put each Caricature into an individual plastic sleeve for safe keeping.

Q: Do you do couples?

A: Certainly. More than two people per A4 page becomes a little crowded though.

Q: How many hours do you work?

A: Usually 2 – 3 hours but I’ve certainly been at events all day – and night!

Q: Do you do colour Caricatures?

A: Yes, when working from photos in my studio but working ‘Live’ at events I do black and white Caricatures – it’s quicker and that way I get more guests drawn.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Unlike most caricaturists I would describe my style as ‘complimentary’. I prefer doing Glamorous pictures.

Q: Have you ever offended anyone?!

A: No. Men always have more hair than I can see and the women always look 10 years younger….

Q: Is this what you do full time?

A: It’s one of the many creative hats I wear. I’m also busy working as a freelance Storyboard Artist, Concept Visualiser and Illustrator. Take a look at http://www.sr-illustration.com

Q: How much do you charge?

A: Please get in touch, let me know what you’d like and I’ll get back to you with a comprehensive quote.

Q: Where are you based and how far would you travel?

A: I’m now living in the south of France near Montpellier. I’m happy traveling a few hours in any direction…by road or air. I have flown back to England for events.

Q: Would there be extra charges for travel?

A: If large distances and overnight accommodation are involved, an extra charge will need to be worked out.

Q: How did you get into working as a Caricaturist?

A: I was doing Caricatures at an Advertising Agency party for fun, when someone asked me for a business card. I realized there was money to be made!
